Ruth Mathew is the Community Liaison and Volunteer Manager for Urbana 12 (www.urbana.org), perhaps the world’s largest missions conference, meeting in St. Louis, MO Dec 27 – 31, 2012. She is a native of Sir Lanka, received Christ In saving faith in France, and has a personal call on her life to serve God through missions.

Since InterVarsity started the Urbana Student Missions Conference in 1946, it has impacted over 250,000 people to devote their lives to God’s work around the world.
Urbana 12’s mission is to compel this generation to give their whole lives for God’s global mission. Participants are challenged by missions leaders, are able to speak with hundreds of missions organizations, get to attend an amazing selection of seminars and tracks and study the Bible inductively with other students listening for God’s call on their lives….
•Over 250 missions agencies, working in over 150 countries will exhibit at Urbana 12
•You can choose from over 200 seminars to attend in addition to morning and evening all-Urbana sessions, manuscript Bible Study and prayer
•Urbana is geared for college students and anyone age 17-29, though anyone over 17 is welcome to attend
•Urbana 12’s theme is taken from the Gospel of Luke. We’ll be looking in depth at Luke 4:14‐30; Luke 5:1‐11; Luke 5:17‐26; Luke 10:1‐24; Luke 14:15‐24; Luke 15:1‐32; and Luke 19:1‐27
