This second radio recording with Jerome Bracely is a continuation of the one just below, titled … “WHILE USING, SELLING DRUGS, JEROME BRACELY LIVED IN EMPTY STL BUILDINGS; WENT TO NEW LIFE EVANGELISTIC CENTER, ENTERED THEIR “PROGRAM,” RECEIVED CHRIST, HAS HELPED 100’S OF ADDICTED MEN FIND “FREEDOM!” CARL HUMMEL, MAN OF PRAYER, VISITED St. Louis BOTT STUDIOS WITH HIM” … click on … While using, selling drugs, Jerome Bracely lived in empty STL buildings; went to New Life Evangelistic Center, entered their “program,” received Christ, has helped 100’s of addicted men find “freedom!” Carl Hummel, man of prayer, visited STL Bott studios with him. – Harold Hendrick
The life stories of both these fine men are positive and impacting. In this second radio recording with them, Carl Hummel does more talking. He tells me, as of this posting, it is now 24-years that he has been calling me weekly to pray with me over the phone!
His living income is that of a St. Louis delivery man, really, to finance his prayer life and ministry. His leading from God was to pray an hour a day for the now “Famous Ferguson” Missouri … so he moved to Ferguson to make it handier to do so.
He reminds me of another man of prayer known as “Praying Hyde,” yesteryear missionary to India. In his autobiography “Each Step of the Way,” Evangelist Wayne Bristow tells the story of “complaints” of “Praying Hyde” from fellow missionaries at the time to their sponsoring mission board that “Praying Hyde spent too much time praying!” Their mission board, in effect, told his fellow missionaries to “… leave him alone! He gets more done in prayer than others who are active in their work!”
And, in this recording, we hear more from Jerome Bracely. Such as, how Carl Hummel periodically speaks to the addicted men living in the “Stepping into the Light” ministry house, and how Carl financially supports this ministry to the many men in need!
Tears come to the eyes of Jerome when he speaks of a major mentor, Ray Redlich! Ray has been such a supportive and loyal friend to Jerome through the years, that he has won to full appreciation from Jerome.
(Ray’s wife, Judy Redlich, hosts “Encounter” radio interviews each Tuesday on the three St. Louis Bott Radio Network stations: 91.5 FM (100,000 watts), 95.9 FM, and 1320 AM.)
