The shock of a pastor fatally shot in his Sunday Morning pulpit while preaching … is still difficult to grasp ten years later!
But that is what happened to Pastor Fred Winters, a Godly friend to so many of us on March 8th, 2009.
His good church … First Baptist Church of Maryville, IL … is conducting … or has conducted (depending on when you are reading this) a 10th Anniversary commemoration honoring the Lord and their faithful Pastor, Fred Winters. We are invited.
In this radio conversation, his very fine widow, Cindy Winters, shares her heart … and the experience 10 years later. In the nation-wide and world-wide media that came to her to report the story, Cindy found the grace, composure, and articulation to be faithful to Jesus in a very difficult time.
