The horrible world of sex slavery is beyond tragic … and it is growing!
Missouri Baptist Children’s Home President Russel Martin paints an alarming picture as to the scope of the problem. President Martin cites alarming, documented statics as to how bad this worldwide tragedy is.
One of the many questions raised because of the issue: what is available for those enslaved once they are freed? Where do they go, once delivered? What is available?
The Missouri Baptist Children’s Home (www.mbch.com) is one good solution. In this radio conversation, MBCH President Russ Martin and lead case worker Jackie Williams offer good resources for the trafficking victims … and for those helping the victims. They explain that the Children’s Home has a residential group for (1) rescued adult women and (2) another for girls … available right now! Women and girls are living there now.
A very important ministry of the Children’s Home is to provide answers, solutions, for this great need in whatever way they can. Our questions regarding ministering to the needs of children is their specialty.
They welcome our calls at 1 800 264-6224.
A special thanks to those who have supported the Children’s Home with their donations, including Missouri Baptists who for years have given mission money through their churches, some of which goes to the Home and their great ministry.
Again, a visit www.mbch.org will provide more insights.

On a personal note: Our daughter, Karis Hendrick Burritt, while in high school, went regularly to the Children’s Home as her required ministry project with Westminster Christian Academy. She is now the mother of three of our wonderful grandchildren that she is homeschooling. A link will be available in the future on an interview about their family’s journey through difficult times with one of the children having dilated cardiomyopathy (enlarged heart). God has been faithful in that journey.
Also, in the year before Lori Fortner Hendrick married our son Stephen Hendrick, she lived with Joan and me while she served on the staff of MBCH, working with, ministering to, pregnant girls. She is now the mother of four of our terrific grandchildren, all four with “hearts for God!” One example of her quality life and parenting style can be heard in radio with Lori and Stephen.
