For years many establishment leaders in the City Hall of St. Louis have tried to end the 45-year great ministry of New Life Evangelistic Center to the homeless and poor. Rev. Larry Rice and New Life have been doing this kind of good for 45 years.
Now it appears that they (Board of Public Service, Board of Building Appeals and the mayoral administration) are about to do it!
Last night – like every other night — New Life provided shelter, warmth, food, care, protection and love to perhaps 200 of the poor and homeless. Now the City thinks it has legal authority to close the Center on April 1, 2017!
And that same St. Louis City Aldermen have just approved making St. Louis “…a sanctuary city of abortion!”
In supporting for the poor and homeless … and believing in life “,,, from the womb to the tomb …” Rev. Rice is making himself available as a candidate for mayor in the upcoming general election on April 4, 2017.
A part of Rev. Rice’s motivation is the fact that the Democratic nominee for Mayor, Lyda Krewson, supports both:
· Making St. Louis “… a sanctuary city for abortion." (She voted for it, and Mayor Slay, who supports her, immediately signed the legislation into law) … and
· She approves and supports the closing of New Life Evangelistic Center.
