Blake Snyder, St. Louis, Mo, County police officer, was shot and killed in the line of duty! The tragedy of October 6, 2016, is absolutely horrible, but Kathy Sparks – the name I know her by before her husband’s death – has some personal inspirational stories about her terrific son-in-law. Blake Snyder was one of four policemen in Kathy Spark’s family – her late husband, Mike Sparks (died four years earlier with cancer); their son, Justin Sparks, her brother, and her son-in-law, Blake Snyder.
Justin Sparks, Blake’s brother-in-law, had written a poem in tribute to fallen law enforcement officers. Whoever thought that the first time he would read it publicly was at the massive funeral service of his brother-in-law, Blake Snyder. To see the video of it, click here .
Kathy provides insights regarding Blake regarding his deep faith Jesus, the Christ; that he was on the staff of Destiny Church in West St. Louis County, and that he felt a calling from God to serve as a policeman.
