Mark Snowden is the Evangelism and Discipleship Strategist for the Missouri Baptist Convention’s more than 1,900 churches.
A major focus of his ministry is to lead everyone possible to obey the last command of Jesus before he ascended to heaven 2,000 years ago: “And you shall be witnesses unto me, both in Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the world.” (Acts 1:8)
He encourages multiple gatherings with this focus of sharing the good news of Jesus … to be followed by discipleship.
One of those times together for such encouragement and reinforcement is, as of this writing, to be in the facilities of the First Baptist Church of Arnold, MO (www.fbcarnold.org) just south of St. Louis, (Thurs, Sept 10, 10: AM – 2:00 PM. To be included in the free noon meal, register at www.stlbaptist.org/crossover2016,) Support and strategies for those wanting to obey Jesus is provided. It also includes a major focus on a movement called “Crossover,” a concerted evangelistic effort connected with the annual meetings of the messengers to the Southern Baptist Convention.
With that large SBC gathering to be in St. Louis in 2016, the Arnold time of motivation – and others like it — becomes a combined focus for Christians – Baptist and others – to motivate and strengthen their skills to share Jesus … as well as for planning strategies for ongoing witness and discipleship efforts.
