Support of the “Special Olympics” for special people is the focus of Larry Absheer, Chief Financial Officer, and Najah Fennoy, Director of New Opportunities, of the Missouri Athletic Club of St. Louis. They describe MAC support in a relay through the USA culminating in the 2015 Special Olympics in California.

“MAC” (as the Club is known, described at www.mac-stl.org) served as a link in a nationwide relay in support of the Special Olympics’ special people. Attending the event was Olympian Jackie Joiner Koursey and Missouri’s Lt. Governor Peter Kinder.
With the special attention and facilitation of Larry Absheer, for many years the “classy” Missouri Athletic Club has hosted the preparation of major Christian events and activities, such as the 1999 Billy Graham Crusade for Greater St. Louis, 2009 “Rock the River” with Franklin Graham, annual National Day of Prayer, Mission Metro St. Louis events, and others.
