“Live-wire spark plug” Nancy Wilson (www.nancywilson.org) tells a series of compelling stories during the 2015 National Day of Prayer observance in Washington, DC. It was done “live” from a park bench near the White House and U.S. Capitol and the Bott Radio studios in St. Louis, MO. No time for … and hopefully no need for … editing. Listening will definitely be an inspirational “turn on” that will “give you a lift” even years after its occurrence on May 7, 2015.
It was the 64th annual National Day of Prayer that saw 43.000 known prayer gatherings in the United States and around the world.
Some of the stories that come to mind include Dr. Ben Carson, James & Shirley Dobson, Congressman Louie Gohmert, inspirational filmmaker Alex Kendrick, Billy Graham’s daughter Anne Graham Lotz, 2015 NDP Chairman Jack Taylor, and the testimony of George Washington Carver, born a slave in southwest Missouri more than a century ago.
Nancy Wilson’s story of impacting thousands – with grace, humility, encouragement and enthusiasm – is remarkable in itself that takes her half way around the world as a national leader of “Cru.” The late founder of Cru, Dr. Bill Bright commissioned her as an “international Ambassador for Campus Crusade for Christ.”
