Mayor Schneider encourages and promotes harmony in the community and genuine cooperation with people of faith in Jesus and the area churches. He welcomes and seems to enjoy our interaction about his city … and our friendship … on radio.
His healthy attitude toward the churches of his city is further expressed by his cooperation with the National Day of Prayer experience in Florissant each first Tuesday in May. The most recent one was conducted by leaders of the City – multi-racial in composition — on the front lawn of City Hall … with several public officials attending. Following the time of prayer on the front lawn, Mayor Schneider invited the participants into City Hall for refreshments, advancing good will and friendships … and, thus, a better climate for a better city.
He notes an amazing historical fact: Florissant, established in the late 1700’s, is older than the United States Constitution!
