Rocky Johnson: 30 years of “behind the scenes” service through Bott Christian Radio in St. Louis

Interview Synopsis:

·         Rocky Johnson has served God – and earned  his living — through his staff position with Bott Radio in St. Louis, MO, for 30 years … and counting.  For more than 20 of those years I have personally observed his quiet demeanor, his consistent good attitude and steadiness of work in assuring that quality Christian broadcasting “on his watch” continues.    

·         Part of the time I see Rocky through the glass window between two radio studios … and at other times working in the same studio wherein he records my guests and me.  He makes sure that the radio conversations I host maintain high quality … and are edited when necessary to maintain the high Bott Radio standards.      

·         His quiet demeanor  and consistent graciousness are an inspiration.  I have never seen Rocky Johnson express anger … but only steadiness and focus on his task of doing whatever it takes to produce high quality Christian broadcasting transmitted on the St. Louis airways.

 Traits I see in Rocky Johnson remind me of Joseph, husband of Mary, and step-father of Jesus.  Joseph was an outstanding man with great qualities of character and compassion, but was apparently very quiet.  With all attributes – including his selection by the living God to be the earthly father of Jesus Christ, the Bible does not contain one quote from his own lips.

And Joseph, the step-father of Jesus, reminds me of Rocky Johnson!  (Rocky also has a wife named Mary!)
