Interview background:
In an earlier time of stirring radio, Mark Akers explains the great St. Louis ministry to refugees from “war torn” countries that he and his wife Joni lead. Titled … “In STL Mark Akers helps war-ravished refugees in Jesus Name & Love; see www.oasisinternational.info” it can be accessed any time by clicking on http://haroldhendrick.com/content/view/421/5/ .
You should hear the stories! Mark tells some of them.
Time and again I watch the brief www.oasisinternational.info video. I love to see the refugee children’s faces and hear them tell about Jesus.
Oasis International … located just south of a famous St. Louis landmark, Bevo Mill … meets the daily living and housing needs of refugees … furniture, etc. … all in Jesus name. Regardless of national origin, race, religion, the staff, volunteers, and donors impact the lives of refugees … in the Name and love of Jesus.
This particular time of radio provides some additional good news of the ministry. Oasis supplies of furniture and other provisions were depleted. Then news came of the closing of famous downtown landmark … the circular Millennium Hotel, located between Busch Stadium (home of baseball’s St. Louis Cardinals) and the Mississippi River. It needed to be emptied of its contents!
Hear the amazing events that led Oasis International to receive massive amounts of furniture and other goods for them to distribute to needy refugees … in the Name and love of Jesus!
