It was a national event, well publicized, attended by national and international media. Both those opposing and proponents were there at the St. Louis’ Planned Parenthood, the only functioning abortion mill remaining in Missouri.
On that May 31, 2019, Connie Eller was standing in hopes of it being shut down. As the founder of Missouri Blacks for Life, reporters from several countries including the United States, descended on her. They had seen her pro-life signs and, to her surprise, sought media interviews with her. I saw it on CBS TV News that evening, wherein was featured in the news intro saying: “WHATEVER IS GOING ON IN THERE IS EVIL AND WRONG!” Media from France and other news outlets from everywhere took her statement.
She knew that innocent, unborn children inside were being destroyed!
Sadly, among those present were people opposing the closing of the abortion mill. It is noted that each protester had been allowed to live in their mother’s womb and be born. But they were opposed to the same thing happening to some other babies in the womb – babies like each one of them had been. Pregnant mothers were entering Planned Parenthood for their babies to be destroyed.
Did someone say “hypocrisy?” It seemed plenty evident.
As a teen in New York, Connie Eller had an abortion. Once she had investigated the thought of it, abortionists “kicked into overdrive” in pressuring her to do it. She was called at home. “If you don’t go ahead with the abortion, our price is going to go up,” they threatened.
Later she received Jesus, the Son of God, into her life, and she was forgiven of her all sins, including abortion. “… the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin!” (I John I:7). Not “all sin but abortion”, but … “all sin!” The promise was for her … and for everyone else who, in repentance, receives Christ by faith. (See John 1:12, 13; Romans 5:8.)
She once worked at Bott Radio St. Louis station, host of the St. Louis Radio Stations 99.1 and 95.5 FM … and 1320 AM. (See www.bottradionetwork.com). She now is on staff of Our Lady’s Inn, helping young women and young children in difficult circumstances daily. (www.ourladysinn.org)
Connie Eller is passionate about saving the lives of unborn children … so passionate that she is the founder of www.missouriblacksforlife.com.
We stand on solid Biblical grounds. For example, “[God said in His Word said] Before I formed YOU in the womb, I knew YOU. Before YOU were born, I set YOU apart. I appointed YOU as a prophet to the nations.” (caps mine) In this short passage, five times the personal pronoun of human personhood — “YOU” – was used to identify the prophet Jeremiah while he was still in his mother’s womb!
The prophet Jeremiah was a human person in his mother’s womb!
