“Living Water International,” has been involved in more than 20,000 water projects, mostly the digging of freshwater wells in third world countries throughout the world. The terrific result? Around the turn of the last century, approximately 1.2 billion people throughout the world could not access safe drinking water, with more people dying from bad water than have died from starvation. In 2019, that number has now been reduced to about 600 to 800 million people who are not able to readily access safe drinking water.
So, within the last generation, approximately 500 million more people of the world’s population will be able to access safe drinking water!
Dr. Jerry Wiles … and so many other Jesus-followers … have been at the forefront of bringing both safe physical and living water to so many millions!
Jerry maintains his relationship as having been the Director of Living Water International (www.water.cc), now its President Emeritus, and their many cooperating networks with similar purposes. Now he combines another major focus in his life to that of being a key person in the International Orality Network (www.orality.net), serving ION as its North American Regional Director. He has joined many others – including the late Dr. Avery Willis — specializing in reaching the world’s majority of primary oral learners … those who prefer to learn and communicate orally rather than through literary means.
And recently a St. Louis businessman has come into a ministry relationship with Jerry Wiles. He is Sam Rowley, son of HCJB missionaries of Quito, Ecuador In South America. Sam in St. Louis has founded “Meals for a Million” (www.mealsforamillion.com). Sam is now partnering with a few others in leadership in developing a machine that can turn bad water into pure water.
