Fred Zielonko is St. Louis’ regional manager of St. Louis Bott Radio’s – (KSIV AM 1320, FM 91.5, and 95.9 FM, repeating simultaneously the signal of AM 1320). He has 20 years’ experience at famed St. Louis news/talk/sports station KMOX (AM), nine years of managing KTRS (AM) in St. Louis, and WIBV (FM) in southern Illinois. He currently manages — for 6 years now — Bott Radio St. Louis.
For most folks, being in transition between jobs, is a difficult and stressful time in life.
Sometimes it is even shattering.
Fred and BRN (www.bottradionetwork.com) want to stand alongside those having this need. Under his leadership (not in his job description, but in his desire to minister to this need), they are sponsoring a 3-hour, one afternoon, free “Job Seekers’ Seminar”
Any and all are invited.
It is on the Wednesday afternoon, May 8, 2019, 1:00 – 4:00 PM, in the Spiritual Life Center of the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home, just west of the intersection of St. Charles Rock Road and Lindbergh Boulevard, just a bit northwest of the old Northwest Plaza in the St. Louis region. It is adjacent to Fee Fee Baptist Church, the oldest continuing Protestant congregation west of the Mississippi River.
Reservations are not essential, but they are helpful. Email him at fzielonko@bottradionetwork.com … or call St. Louis Bott Radio at 314 961-1320, then punch “0” when the recorded voice is heard.
Long-term residents of the USA’s Midwest will remember Jack Carney, a leading entertainment personality in those days of KMOX Radio, which promoted itself as “The Voice of St. Louis” with its “50,000 red-hot watts.” At the ripe old age of 22, Fred Zielonko was Jack Carney’s executive producer. Among his duties, for years, was to put together a two-hour comedy program that 100,000’s looked forward to hearing each Saturday morning.
In the first part of this recorded conversation you can hear now, Fred and I laugh together as he tells of some of the “zany” fun, behind the scenes antics, that he was a part of in those “crazy days.”
Like when Jack Carney thought newscaster Ron Barber was taking too long to read the news, he would light a match to the sheet from which Ron was reading … and set it on fire. Ron would have to hurry to finish.
You will have several opportunities to laugh along with us!
Seeing this after May 8, 2019? It is highly likely that, in time, Fred Zielonko will plan to do another “Job Seekers Seminar.”
“Stay tuned…”
