Ruby Kendagor, born and abandoned in infancy by her parents in Trinidad, is the wife of Solomon Kendagor (www.solomonandruby.com). In the Spring of 2018, she had just returned to her home in St. Louis to learn that her Kenyan father-in-law George Kendagor, 107, had just gone to Heaven. Solomon had remained to be at the bedside of his remarkable father in Kenya. She needed and was able to return to the funeral, attended by 3,500.

Their whole story displays the remarkable power of God through missions.

In the first half of the 20^th century a missionary sponsored by the African Inland Mission, from England, I think. He might have thought of himself as a failure, but he led at least one Kenyan to faith in Jesus, the uncle to George Kendagor. The uncle, later killed by a panther, was to lead nephew George Kendagor to Christ.

George Kendagor – who arrived in Heaven about the same time as Billy Graham — was to plant more than 250 churches! He was the father of 11 children, all of whom became well educated and went into Christian ministry. Gospel Minister George and his wife also and raised several other children, providing them the same heritage and background.

In this brief time of radio, we learn that Solomon Kendagor shares the good news of Jesus and His word to millions: on live radio (with others) each Saturday evening, usually from his St. Louis basement, that is broadcast live in Kenya. That radio broadcast is filmed and shown on Kenyan television several time each week. One needs to listen to this radio recording to hear something of all the media opportunities afforded to Solomon weekly … for years.

When Ruby returned to Kenya to join Solomon, an amazing number were in attendance and had underscored to them the power of the Gospel as having impacted and lived out by George Kendagor. Following the formal service, there was a prepared luncheon for the many officials in attendance.

But hundreds remained. Ruby saw the opportunity, and shared the Good News of Jesus still there. She was to include thought along the line of … “If you want to go the Heaven where George Kendagor is, you must go ‘Jesus way,’ since He is “… the way, the truth, and the life!’”

Many scored raised their hands, indicating their positive response to receive Christ!
