Togetherness in generosity toward a worthy project advances healing and unity.
These Ferguson, Mo leaders – Mayor James Knowles, Police Chief Delrish Moss, and Police Department Chaplain (volunteer) Jose Aguayo — are doing just that!
Hear them explain the “Ferguson Loves Texas Drive,” an effort to do a collection of practical nonperishables donations that will go to the massive needs of Hurricane Harvey in the Houston, Texas region.
In the light of Ferguson’s past reputation, these three leaders … in great harmony, friendship, and singleness of purpose … are black, white, and Hispanic!
With needs of Florida’s Hurricane Irma coming on the “heels” of Hurricane Harvey, there likely may be another Ferguson unifying donation effort to help Irma victims. But this first hurricane donation effort – probably in all of Ferguson’s history – is sending helpful donations … and love … to Texas.
