I was not surprised when Katy McKinney brought her three children into the radio recording studio. What awed me was what they did during the radio recording.
Marin (11), Colton (8), and Payne (4) each quoted significant portions of Abraham Lincoln’s “Gettysburg Address!” Hear it for yourselves … now if you wish. The family visited the Gettysburg, PA battlefield as a part of their children’s education.
A goal of the brand new school … near highway 40/64 and Highway K in O’Fallon, Mo (just west of St. Louis) … includes visiting historical sites for which he students have studied. It is conducting its first classes in the Autumn of 2017.
While the school is new, the curriculum is not but, instead, is “tried and true.” It is provided by Hillsdale College in Michigan.
