I first met Phil Brownlee – Renee Higgins brother – at a second Saturday “Pastoral Fellowship” at Peace Tabernacle in South St. Louis.
At the same fellowship, I was to soon meet Renee’s husband – Dr. Mike Higgins, Dean of Students at Covenant Theological Seminary www.covenantseminary.edu in St. Louis. (Just got a pleasant shock at the Seminary website – seeing Mike’s smiling face – at the “Theology for Free” section.)
Mike Higgins and Phil Brownlee founded the interdenominational Pastoral Fellowship
Then I met Renee Higgins … and was impressed by her and the fact that for 25 years she has been a Bible study teacher and student with Precept Ministries! She leads a Precept Bible study group to this day.
The founder of Precept Ministries is Kay Arthur. (More about Kay and Precept Ministries at www.precept.org. Thus husband Mike compliments his wife by noting that she is called “… the black Kay Arthur!”
I asked Renee to talk about this big part of her life on radio … and she did. And, in the process, she lets us know that you can grow in Bible study with Precept Ministries. The website lets you know how.
