I joked with Betty Allean Reichert and her husband George Reichert. “I really like older women!” I had just learned that Allean was 11 days older than I am!
Longtime friend Pastor John Wilson, founding pastor of West (St. Louis) County Assembly of God Church, wrote me recommending that I hear Allean’s remarkable story. And it was different than any other interview that I had ever done in 28 years of part time radio!
It is a story that moves from occult bondage to wonderful and joyful spiritual light.
Her story is fascinating and encouraging. The depth of her involvement in the occult was revealed when she was to throw out 50 books on the occult that had been in her personal library.
Check out her website about the book … www.allean35.con. The dramatic, gripping cover … seen on the website, created by her son-in-law … is worth the price of the book. St. Louis area people will enjoy her many familiar references to St. Louis … such as growing up in a big house (with rented rooms to pay for it) near the famous Shaw’s Garden in South St. Louis.
From her website (www.allean35.com), Betty Allean Reichert writes about her book …
“Metamorphosis: My Journey to the Spiritual from the Occult is a true story which spans the last 80 years. Revealing, intriguing, frightening, mesmerizing; it gets your attention.
“Most people are not aware of the pitfalls which can occur when one gets caught up in the dark arenas of the supernatural. By exploring these outcomes with the author, you will become cognizant of the hazards of becoming intrigued with the occult and the possible impending, deadly outcome.
“She adds: my book “… is a tale of my journey from darkness into light … I invite you to follow me from one realm of existence to another.”
