Their inspirational website tells of the Bright Lights beginning: at age 17, Sarah invited some young ladies into her family’s home.
Bright Lights Ministry was born!
From www.brightlightsministry.org: “In 1996, Sarah began leading a young ladies discipleship group called Bright Lights. As of 2015, over 650 groups have started in 46 different states and 10 countries. Bright Lights hosts “Strong in the Lord” and “Radiant Purity Conferences” for mothers and daughters, trains and equips leaders of Bright Lights groups, and provides discipleship materials for mothers to use with their daughters.”
Further : Overview of Bright Lights
“… The Lord had given [Sarah] a desire to encourage younger girls to be strong for the Lord in their youth, and she decided to begin a discipleship group in her living room in order to give these girls vision, encouragement, and teaching in godliness.”
This radio conversation was called to my attention by St. Louis area supporters, excited for, at the time, upcoming Bright Lights Ministry events in our area. That schedule is seen by clicking on http://www.brightlightsministry.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=119&Itemid=63. Typical of others around the country, the St. Louis area schedule:
· “Strong in the Lord Conference” for younger girls, June 20-21, 2016 in Shiloh, IL, just south of O’Fallon, IL;
· “Strong in the Lord Conference” for girls and young ladies age 12 and older, June 23-24, 2016 in Shiloh
My first contact with “Bright Lights” was to drive my granddaughters Moriah and Mckayla Hendrick to one of their gatherings just east of St. Louis a few years ago. They wanted to go! How pleased I was for my treasured family members to be interested in “Bright Lights Ministry!”
Bright Lights is wonderful reinforcement for young ladies who desire to live meaningful and purposeful lives in today’s world.
