Paul Kruse, founder of www.firststepbackhome.net hosts Christmas party for hundreds of the homeless

December 16, 2015

Paul Kruse, a cussin’ truck driver in the St. Louis area, was listening to famed radio Bible teacher J. Vernon McGee on Bott Radio Network-owned KSIV-AM (1320) in St. Louis, Mo.  Amid the teaching, J. Vernon said something like … “Now you truck drivers need to pull over to the side of the road and get right with God … get saved!”  Paul wondered how J. Vernon knew he was driving a truck … but he did just that…  he pulled over to the side of the road and asked the living God to save him!

Just that quickly Paul Kruse became a changed child of God!

Changes were sure to come to his life.  Among them was when he went home and told his wife, she thought he was crazy and left him.

From Paul’s days as a house remodeler and truck driver, many steps have occurred that have taken him to the point of ministering to the homeless in the west side of the St. Louis area … for which there was provisions for homeless men.

First Step Back Home (www.firststepbackhome.net) a ministry to and for the homeless in that area … was born.  As I write this Christmastime of 2015, the ministry he leads is to have a party for several hundred homeless … men, women, children … in the First United Methodist Church in Wentzville, Mo … Saturday, December 19, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

Both the homeless and volunteers showing them love and hospitality are wanted and welcomed.

When my bride Joan heard Paul on the radio talk about his ministry and the party, she said: “I want to go!”  So, for those reading this in time and who can join us, we anticipate seeing you are this great party for the homeless on December 19, 2015.
