Dr. David Claybrook saw it with his own eyes … and was a part of it. When in October of 2015 For His Glory Ministries ( www.forhisglorymin.org) led a five-night evangelistic and discipleship “Festival” on a soccer field in Rwanda, the people came … to hear about Jesus. By local estimates, 30,000, the first night, 70,000 the second night, concluding on Sunday evening with 100,000 in attendance!

David is Director of Church Mobilization and Training for the ministry. Evangelist Rob Welch is Founder and President of the Ministry. He gives testimony: "Over the past several years, I have seen the Lord transform my life and the lives of thousands of other people as they have opened their hearts to Jesus, receiving Him as their Savior and Lord. "
Rob Welch proclaimed the gospel at this Rwandan festival. He was trained in the Billy Graham School of Wheaton College, the school attended by Evangelist Billy Graham. Rob, wife Emily and their three young children live in Lake St. Louis, Mo, on the west portion of the St. Louis area. David Claybrook once told me that Rob is “for real!” And indeed he is!
Thousands of Rwandans responded to the invitation to trust Christ as Savior! The ministry there was a partnership with many local pastors and churches who intend to do a significant follow up & discipleship effort.
The pattern that For His Glory is beginning to utilize is depicted in “T4T” discipleship development. It stands for “Training for Trainers.” See www.t4tonline.org. In a recent radio interview with Dr. Jerry Rankin, 17-year President of the International Mission Board (IMB) of the Southern Baptist Convention highly affirmed the “T for T” concept, an enormous house church movement that began in China.

As a “bonus” to this Rwandan good news, be inspired by the nine-minute video produced by Samaritans Purse depicting he young life of “Alex,” a young Rwandan whose family members were murdered in the country’s “bloodbath” of a generation ago. Ales received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox of love gifts (124,000,000 distributed worldwide) while he lived in the orphanage. He returned to the orphanage where he lived to distribute OCC shoeboxes to the children living there now. He also went to the prison to visit the man who had murdered his family member … to express forgiveness to him!
