Upon the first anniversary of the Ferguson unrest, Anthony Bonner and Jonathan Tremaine are among those “showing up” as “men of peace” in Ferguson on the strategic days of Saturday through Monday, August 8 – 10, 2015.
If you hear and read their story before that first anniversary, Anthony and Jonathan invite you to join them on West Florissant in Ferguson, Mo. And if the anniversary has passed, the principles of serving God in obedience and lifestyle are important … and eternal. Be inspired and encouraged as you “hear their hearts” in their wanting to please the Son God, who they worship!
More good news is that the Rapid Response Chaplains of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association — and their 40-foot truck for ministry – are returning to Ferguson for the anniversary.
Jonathan Tremaine and family were living in Indianapolis, Indiana when the 2014 Ferguson trouble erupted and received worldwide attention. He describes his call of God to move to St. Louis and minister Jesus and peace in Ferguson. His call is partially based upon the Old Testament verse of Zachariah 12:10 (quote it here), He as obedient to his calling.
Wikipedia reports that Anthony Bonner “… is the [St. Louis University] Billikens’ all-time leading scorer with 1,972 points.”
He went on to play for three National Basketball Association teams — the Sacramento Kings, New York Knicks, and Orlando Magic – then on to play professionally for several years.
Now he bears the message of Jesus, the Son of God!
