“Almighty God, we thank You and praise You for Your unending mercy and grace poured out upon our nation. You have delivered us in times of war, reunited us after conflicts among ourselves, and filled our lives with such abundance, Your blessings overflow our borders.

“Yet still, we take You for granted. We come before You now, in desperate need of Your forgiveness. We confess that the liberty You so graciously gave us has become a license to do as we please. Our culture mocks You; our highest courts are esteemed above Your Word. We’ve traded genuine spirituality for temporary pleasure, true virtue for hollow celebrity. We teach our children self-indulgence, yet stand mystified at the blood on their hands. We lust after material things, yet wonder why our souls are empty.

“Revive us, O Lord. Your Presence is our only hope. Impart to us Your passion for good over evil. As we humble ourselves and seek Your face, forgive us O God, and heal us. Make us one, that America would be the land You envisioned from the beginning…a beacon of hope lifted to the world, a people free to serve You and one another, in genuine love.

“In the name of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob—in the name of Jesus we pray. AMEN.”

From www.pentecostwalk.org

“WE BELIEVE that as the Church goes, so goes the nation. WE BELIEVE God is calling the American Church to repentance-in-unity like never before in our nation’s history. WE BELIEVE judgment is at the door, but WE BELIEVE mercy triumphs over judgment. WE BELIEVE our response to God’s mercy in this very hour is determining the future of our nation. WE BELIEVE, as His laborers, we haven’t seen His intended harvest because we haven’t truly come together in repentance-in-unity.

‘WE BELIEVE only God can bring increase. WE BELIEVE every Christian is called to be His instrument of increase. WE BELIEVE that in every generation, God calls some to serve on the front lines. WE BELIEVE that Pentecost Walk, unworthy as we are, is among those called forward for such a time as this.

‘WE BELIEVE that as ambassadors of the *National Prayer of Repentance, our mission has been catalytic to regional groundswells of repentance-in-unity. WE BELIEVE these groundswells are merely the birth pangs of a coming nationwide outpouring.

WE BELIEVE God is paving the way for pastors-and-leaders across the nation to join with us in an unprecedented flood of friendship-driven unity and partnership. WE BELIEVE that, together, we will help usher the American Church into God’s open arms of revival.

About Tom Demaree  (www.pentecostwalk.org/team)

Rev. Tom Demaree, Founder/Director of Pentecost Walk, has prayerwalked over 15,000 miles across the length and breadth of the country, bringing God’s message of repentance-in-unity to the body of Christ by coming alongside pastors and leaders as a brother and a friend. To date, these joint-efforts have touched all 50 states, involving thousands of churches. As a speaker and singer/songwriter, Tom brings the word of the Lord in a refreshingly plainspoken manner—a safe haven for the listener, whether conservative or charismatic. By God’s grace and favor alone, his life has been catalytic to many embracing a deeper intimacy with Christ, and through that intimacy, rediscovering the joy of His unity with one another.

Tom served on staff  under Pastor Jack Hayford in the mid-eighties and two subsequent West Coast churches before devoting himself fully to trans-local ministry in the late nineties. A self-described "Roman Bapticostal," he and his wife, Deanna, have three children and one son-in-law (no grandchildren yet), ages 23-29. When not on the road, they make their home in Franklin, Tennessee.
