Interview Synopsis:
As of 2014, Benda Young has served as Chairman of the St. Louis, MO National Day of Prayer for 21 years. This national annual focus on prayer occurs in the United States of America each first Thursday in May.
In this fun conversation on this important subject, Brenda provides a schedule of NDP activities in St. Louis on Thursday, May 1, 2014. They are relatively simple. All occur around and in the St. Louis City Hall, the center of several important governmental building for the City.
· 7:30 – 11:30 AM: “come and go” prayer walking around City Hall;
· 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM: in the majestic central area of City Hall (as has been done annually for years), a celebration of prayer, worship, repentance and intercession, enriched by praise music and musicians;
· 1:30 – 4:30 PM: the continued opportunity of prayer walking outside City Hall.
Kathy Morgan has served as Chairman of Gateway National Day of Prayer for ten years, basically coordinating NDP events in the various locations immediately surrounding St. Louis.
Most of those regional gathering will also occur in the city halls on that same day, May 1, 2014, from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM.
