Connecting Believers
It is anticipated to happen in Missouri each year. But if you are reading this before Thursday, April 3, 2014, MBC Pathway editor Don Hinkle tells us about the upcoming one-day Biblical Worldview Conference on the campus of Hannibal LaGrange University in Mark Twain’s Hannibal, MO.
The headline describing it reads: “Attorney defending Hobby Lobby to speak at Worldview Conference” In today’s world with ongoing attacks on Biblical faith and Worldview, this one has added significance and is particularly timely. Featured conference guest leader Josh Hawley — attorney and University of Missouri Constitutional law professor — will report on the Hobby Lobby religious Liberty case which – just nine days earlier – would have been heard before the United State Supreme Court. Hawley is a member of the legal team defending Hobby Lobby’s right to not be forced by the US Government to pay into a fund that will fund abortions.
Others in the Worldview Conference leadership:
• Anthony Allen, Hannibal LaGrange University president
• Bob McEwen, senior advisor with the nationally recognized law firm of Greenebaum, Doll & McDonald and an expert on the Christian worldview of economics
• John Yeats, MBC executive director
• Justin Mosher, pastor of Fifth Street Baptist Church in Hannibal and chairman of the MBC Christian Life Commission
• Janice Crouse, senior fellow at the Beverly LaHaye Institute and an authority on national and international cultural, children and women’s concerns, including sex trafficking, family and traditional marriage
• Kerry Messer, founder and president of the Missouri Family Network and legislative liaison for the CLC
• Rob Phillips, a Christian apologist and MBC director of communications
