For more than 25 years Dr. Ron Bobo has served as Senior Pastor of West Side MB Church in St. Louis, MO (http://www.westsidembc.org/). .
In this radio discussion he voices great concerns and resistance to efforts to shut down the homeless ministry to thousands of the New Life Evangelistic Center in downtown St. Louis. He has served as pastor of his church for more than 25 years. He has gone very public in such leadership.
An assessment and expression of concern from another source put it this way …
The New Life Evangelistic Center, under the leadership of Rev. Larry Rice, has come under attack. Their great crime has been the willingness to feed the hungry, clothe the naked and give shelter to the homeless. They are similarly guilty of preaching the love of Jesus Christ and His saving power. For these “crimes” they have been hauled into court and are being threatened with the loss of their “hotel” license, which would effectively shut down their work.
