Points of conversation with Filipino native and longtime friend, Ed Moncada, practicing and experiencing:
· Ongoing prayer for spiritual awakening in the USA and world;
· Prayer “walking” – including such places as around Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO, and
· Prayer “riding,” like prayer walking, except done in a motorized vehicle;
· “Planting” of several Filipino congregations/churches throughout the United States;
· Connecting with large ministry networks, including a heavy focus on Filipinos throughout the world;
· Ministering as a staff member on the Leadership Development Team of the Missouri Baptist Convention (composed of 1,900+ churches throughout Missouri and, as such, a ministry partner with our son, David Hendrick).
Just months prior to this writing, two of his adult brothers died within weeks of each other from heart problems to which Filipino men are more susceptible. Subsequently Ed has undergone a preventive medical heart procedure.
