Dr. Solomon Kendagor, native of Kenya — with his wife Ruby from Trinidad – for more than 20 years serving as the St. Louis, MO Directors of International Students, Inc (ISI) (www.isionline.org). They bring the good news of Jesus Christ — through hospitable and loving relationships — to students from countries around the world to study in universities in and near St. Louis. The Kendagors prepare and host monthly dinners in the Memorial Presbyterian Church, welcoming international students from perhaps 30 different nations throughout the world.
In more recent years Solomon walked through an “open door” of a radio opportunity that allows him to speak in his native language to millions in Kenyans each week. Conducted from a portable studio in their St. Louis home, it is routed through radio facilities in Chicago, IL – he broadcasts into Kenya each Saturday evening, Kenya’s Sunday morning. He speaks the good news of Jesus and the message of the Bible, and helps his listeners apply it to the issues of the day.
And now an aspect of television has been added. Now Solomon is widely recognized in his visits to his homeland. And now with his message going out on the internet, he receives responses throughout the world.
Solomon’s father, impacted by missionaries, about 100 years old (his date of birth is uncertain) his begun more than 250 churches, and is still active.
