On the TV series “Everybody Loves Raymond,” at one point Ray’s crude, rude, and often funny father in the comedy series blurted out: “I don’t give a Flying Wallenda!” (His meaning is uncertain, but somehow funny.) Tino Wallenda has that episode recorded.
Tino Wallenda is the leader of the legendary “Flying Wallendas,” world famous high-wire entertainers for generations have provided exciting and daring thrills in circuses, public arenas, and even in ministry settings.
For example, the Wallendas perform annually in St. Louis with Circus Flora (in 2013 through June 23) in the big tent by Powell Hall, home of the St. Louis Symphony … and on the June 16th Sunday of Father’s day are guest performers as a part of the worship of Sutter Presbyterian Church, led by Tino’s longtime friend, Pastor William McConkey.
(In 2012 Tino’s nephew walked a high wire over Niagara Falls … and in 2013 is scheduled to do the same over the Grand Canyon.)
In this brief radio conversation Tino Wallenda shares his dramatic life-changing story resulting from his exercising saving faith in Jesus Christ … explaining how each and all can also have inner peace, forgiveness, and eternal life.
