Don’t ask Zina Hackworth of St. Louis which of her 13 children are biological and which are adopted. She probably won’t tell you. “They are each and all our beloved children,” she would explain.
What is additionally amazing is that seven (7) of her Boy Scout children…are EAGLE SCOUTS!!
In this brief radio conversation, hear Zina express her concerns about Boy Scouts considerations to accept practicing homosexuals in their ranks of membership. She recently appeared in a Washington, D.C. Family Research Council simulcast with Texas Governor Rick Perry, FRC President Tony Perkins, and other key national leaders to address the issue. (See www.frc.org)
Zina hopes you will join her by “weighing in” on the discussion … giving your input on the pending decision for the Boy Scouts of America … by going to www.scouting.org.
Our discussion includes the need of full disclosure regarding the health risks of male-to-male sex. Everyone has a right to know that sex between men (1) increases vulnerably to sexually transmitted diseases, (2) eliminates its participants from ever giving safe blood to help and save the lives of others (The Red Cross will not knowingly accept their donated blood), and (3) those who practice male to male sex have a much shorter life expectancy than those who do not. On average, they die years too soon.
Such vital and valuable information seems to be a well-kept secret in the culture.
Zina and Brian encourage “… every Christian family to prayerfully consider adoption, even if they believe their family is complete …” Such a conviction has earned the Hackworths the “Congressional Angels in Adoption” Award.
As a born-again Christian (John 3:3), Zina has a wonderful list of involvements in good and righteous causes, such as Missouri Right to Life, Missouri Blacks for Life, Our Lady’s Inn, ThriVe St. Louis, and others.
Zina’s website, http://thisracewillselfdestruct.org, provides “ … A Closer Look at Abortion and HIV/AIDS in the African American Community…”
It states …
“As I was sitting at my computer one day in early January 2006, It suddenly hit me like a ton of bricks. ‘We are killing ourselves and we don't even know it’! Then the name came to me: This Race Will Self-Destruct…A Closer Look at Abortion and HIV/AIDS in the African American Community.
“At that moment I decided to invite about three mothers and their teen-aged daughters to my home for a Mother-Daughter Tea. The topic of discussion: Abortion and HIV/AIDS.
“The next thing I knew, forty people wanted to come! I ended up having two separate teas to accommodate everyone.
“The attendees began inviting me to speak to their groups in town and out of town.”
