Galen Miller (http://gm.cccministry.org) is a leader in the Orality Ministry movement, to the world’s oral majority who learn and communicate primarily through oral and visual means. It is based upon the reality that if a Bible were given to everyone in the world, the majority could not read it.
Thus, the need to communicate the Gospel in ways that best connects with oral learners, such as the way Jesus usually did His teaching … through the telling of stories, sometimes called “storying.”
Galen is the Director of Mobilization for “StoryRunners” (www.StoryRunners.com), a Ministry of CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ) to “Unreached People Groups: Engaging Bible-less Oral Tradition Cultures with Scripture Story Sets completed in 5 weeks.” See http://gm.cccministry.org.
In this radio discussion he spotlights and invites us to two 2013 Orality Ministry events to, again, help us minister to the world’s “oral” majority:
(1) a one-day Bible Storying Workshop held in the 1st Baptist Church of Ferguson, MO, minutes northeast of the St. Louis, MO Airport Tue May 7th; and
(2) and the National Conference of the International Orality Network – Sept 16 – 19, 2013 in the Doubletree Hotel in St. Louis, MO. — www.internationaloralitynetwork.org.
