Jonathan Blackmon and Bert VanderMark explain the reason for the “Worship Heart & Art Seminar:” they want such for themselves … and for all followers of Jesus. Even for longtime Christians, experiences that are called “worship” … may not be. Jesus Himself pointed out that “…these people worship me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.”
While this St. Louis/Missouri Baptist University Seminar is scheduled for Friday evening, Feb 22, and Saturday, February 23, 2013 … (you may be reading this after the fact) … there certainly will be other opportunities.
Info on the flow of the Seminar … and the important topics presented … can be seen by clicking on http://mobap.edu/news/3942-mbu-to-host-worship-heart-a-art-seminar-this-month .

(As an aside, my fine classmate at Oklahoma Baptist University — church musician Henry Maxey — maintains a website with a focus on helping part time, volunteer musicians without much available time to prepare, which is the majority status of praise leaders. The site receives tens of thousands of “hits” each year. Check out www.creativeworshipservices.com.)
