It has been a long journey for Kathy Sparks from abortion clinic worker to her present leadership role as President (for two decades) of the very prolife Mosaic Health Center!
Under the leadership of Kathy and her board – made possible by donors, their website reports that “Mosaic Pregnancy & Health Centers is moving forward with plans to launch C2 Mobile by 2013. Utilizing this new RV, we will increase our potential and be able to reach many more women before they choose abortion. One-time donations are needed to fund this new ministry tool.”
A picture of the unit is seen at www.supportmosaic.org.
Mosaic’s results are phenomenal! When the expectant mothers they serve (1) see the pictures of the baby within them and (2) hear of the love of God from God’s word, the Bible, a remarkable 97% of abortion-inclined women choose to let their babies live! The developing of the RV Mobile Medical Unit will allow Mosaic to also serve surrounding towns and cities in the east (Illinois) side of the St. Louis, MO region.
Kathy powerful and dramatic personal story has been heard nationwide on the hundreds of radio stations broadcasting “Focus on the Family” … twice! Early in her marriage Kathy worked in an abortion clinic. Troubled by the tragedies she saw and experienced there, depressed and in a troubled marriage, she attempted suicide (she pulled the trigger to the hand gun she had pointed to her head, but it didn’t “fire”). Aided by the Christian witness of her mother-in-law, Kathy’s coming to faith in Christ was so real and transformational that her husband, policeman Mike Sparks, wanted what she had!
