Messianic Rabbi Jeff Friedman (www.jacobshope.com) who — in the ministry he leads with the International Assemblies of God — oversees seven “Compassion” (benevolent) Centers (many more planned) in Israel in the name of the Yeshua (Jesus), the Messiah. They are received with appreciation, especially since it is reported, in these hard times, that 25% of Israelis live below the poverty line. The ministry has good relations with the government of Israel which allows Messianic conversations when they are in answer to questions from the Israelis who they serve, such as “Why are you doing this?”
As I write, Rabbi Friedman – a pharmacist by profession — prepares to visit and speak in the St. Louis area … in Edwardsville, IL. (I was please to connect him with Michael Holmes, head of RX Outreach – www.rxoutreach.org – for low-cost prescriptions for those of middle and lower-incomes.)
