Judy Boen brings a joyful report of a busload from Albert Pujols’ St. Louis Church (West County Community) enjoying a great weekend trip to Chicago (August 4 & 5, 2012) to see the Los Angeles Angels (his team) play the Chicago White Sox. Albert secured a private room to have special time with them. He “melted” in response to their many expressions of love and encouragement, exchanging many hugs. Albert and Diedre’s son A.J. — whose team last year was managed by St. Louis Cardinal Manager Mike Matheny — had received Christ into his life a bit earlier and then was baptized at West County Community by Pastor Phil Hunter. Wife Diedre Pujols, “great with child,” couldn’t make the Chicago trip.
