Lynne Jackson is the great-great-granddaughter of history’s Harriett and Dred Scott. (Wouldn’t the Scotts be pleased!) Lynne leads and is the spokesperson for The Dred Scott Foundation (www.thedredscottfoundation.org). In this brief radio conversation Lynne provides a bit of interesting historical background … and then gives an update on the fundraising for the very impressive statue of her great-great-grandparents (a model of which can be seen at www.thedredscottfoundation.org, additionally impressive as it indicates in their marriage the couple’s love and devotion to each other). Lynne believes that this life-sized reproduction of the Scotts will be in place just outside the historical Old St. Louis Courthouse (one-half mile west of the St. Louis Arch) within a year of this broadcast.
