The Missouri Baptist Children’s Home Annual “Strawberry Festival” combines family fun with helping children in need. MBCH’s publicist Derald Harris tells about this festive event in St. Louis each first Saturday in June for more than a century. Crafts, games, performances by many musical groups, food, and, of course, the featured ice cream and strawberries … with the income going to provide for children of the Home.
One service not widely known is for anyone to confidentially call the Children’s Home (313 739-6811) with any question re your needs pertaining to children. President Bob Kenison promises an answer … or to point you to someone who can help.
And don’t forget the quilt auction … with come and go attendance for several hours … all hand stitched, usually done throughout the year by many church groups throughout Missouri. (Derald reports that one once sold for nearly $4,500).
Again, in St. Louis each year 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM the first Saturday in June… the “Strawberry Festival.” See www.mbch.org.
