August 26, 2010

Samuel E. Chiang of Hong Kong is the Global Coordinator of the International Orality Network (www.internationaloralitynetwork.com).  On July 30, 2010, ION’s Executive Director Dr. Avery Willis (www.averywillis.com) – and my dear friend since university days — departed this earth be with our Lord Jesus.  Avery’s homegoing makes Samuel Chiang’s global role in reaching the world’s primarily oral learners — as with others of us — even more strategic.  Hear Samuel’s Chiang’s important statement and vision in his own words regarding the great task before us.  Included in the radio discussion is his invitation for us to the International Orality Network’s Annual gathering which, of course, spotlights the vital mission of reaching primarily oral and visual learners and communicators (www.ion2010.org), the world’s majority.

The interview was conducted with Samuel Chiang beginning at 2:45 PM Central Time … which was at 3:45 AM the next day at his residence in Hong Kong.  He sounds surprisingly awake!
