At 6’7” and 325 pounds, Grant Williams played in the National Football League for 10 years with the Seattle Seahawks, the Super Bowl winning New England Patriots, and the St. Louis Rams. Upon his retirement from professional football, Grant faced the question as to what he was going to do in the next years of his life. Recognizing that coaches are among the greatest influences in the lives of young people, Grant felt a calling from God to minister to and serve coaches, thus providing more positive spiritual influences and Christian witness to young people. That calling led him to work with coaches as a staff member of Coaches Time Out, described at www.coachestimeout.org. Grant also enjoys his service as one of the chaplains of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. It included being a part of a worship time at the stadium with Cardinal players on Sunday home games, and leading small Bible studies with the players during the week. Hear about it in Grant’s own words.
