.in 2007 was elected President of the Missouri Baptist
Convention at their 137th Annual Session, which is composed of 2,000
Missouri churches. For a generation he served as pastor of the First
Baptist Church of Arnold, MO, located on the south side of the greater St.
Louis area. During his pastorate the church grew enormously. Thousands
came to Christ, and then continued their growth. There were many highlights
in the life of the church. A remarkable episode in his ministry was
triggered when Congressman Richard Gephardt, representing his district, sent
out a questionnaire asking his constituents to express themselves on their
convictions. Pastor Davidson received the letter just days before the
Congressman and his mother visited Pastor Davidson's church. What happened
