Missouri Senator Delbert Scott stood on the floor of the Missouri Senate and quietly but clearly told a powerful and compelling personal story. He spoke of a young lady in the early 1900’s who traveled from St. Joseph, MO to Kansas City … to give away her baby! Being young and unmarried, she shed tears as she released her little girl to a family who would love and care for her. Senator Scott went on to express his thanksgiving for the action of the young mother…who, he reported, was his great-grandmother, and the baby his grandmother. This story was told on the floor of the Missouri Senate to introduce pro-life legislation. It was passed and is to be signed by Missouri Governor Matt Blunt with the expected result of more innocent children being saved.
